My boyfriend is currently in Ghana working in an orphanage. Here is some cut and paste from what he said:

"I visited the orphanage today. These children need so much love and attention. Every time I go there, I'm mobbed and dragged to the ground by forty needy little hands. Their bellies are bloated from malnutrition, and when there's no rain, they survive on lakewater (which will kill a white boy like me in these parts). Most only have one pair of clothes. I've been working with these orphans, and it's breaking my heart. They need way more than I can give them. Please bend your will to these kids, they need it so much."

They're called the Redemption Outreach in the village of Damongo, northern Ghana.
